GIL- Gilberto Alves Gomes (São Bernardo do Campo - 1960) is a visual artist from Sorocaba who moves between sculpture, painting and drawing.

 

Passionate about the human figure, he approaches his artistic investigations to the field of the sacred, mythology and archetypes, always with an attentive eye on the issues that surround the body in contemporary times.

It is enough for the artist to contemplate the beauty and perfection of the human figure and the nature around him to understand that the art of creating is a divine exercise!

My goal during artistic making is to experiment! When the spectator, in some way, feels touched by my work, then the whole process of experimentation is filled with meaning!
